The Last Post =)

Hi everyone!

This is my last post for the blog of the english III class. So i believe is like a "goodbye". But only for the blog, not for the english. I hope continue learning english until i can speak very well.

I think this blog was very useful for learn English. First, because the experience of writing in english, make me get better my grammar, and also make me think en english.  now, i get better my orthography. I think now i have better orthography in english than spanish hahahaha  Also, i think that make me better with my english vocabulary, and this is great, because i think that is my big shortcoming.

 For other part, I think was fun, I written about things I like or things about my life. That was great for know better my classmates.  Also, for example, for some activities, we had to write about our favorite song or a movie that i like. That was very interesting because my classmates talked about unknown songs and unknown movies for me.  Now I have a lot of new movie that i have to watch on the vacations.

Also, i think that the activities like writing comment on the other blogs make us practice the colloquial English. And that is very good too.

About something negative, today i only think is the hot in the classroom XD. But maybe we need more time for do the blog.

Little Miss Sunshine

Today I going to talk about one movie I like it, that movie is “Little miss sunshine”. I remember I saw this movie at the evening of a saturday. My Dad buyed the pirate dvd, and he gave to me the dvd, i think maybe was at 2007.  This movie is a mix of genre, is a comedy and is also a drama. The cast has stars like Steve Carell, Toni Collette and Greg Kinnear, but in the principal role is the little actress Abigail Breslin, who appear as Olive Hoover a little girl who dreams with win a beauty contest. She has a dysfunctional family, but her family supports her on her dream, and they travel with her to a Child beauty contest called "Little Miss sunshine". I like this movie, because on this travel you can see the dysfunctionality of the family, and what is the relationship between them. You can see the frustrations of the American middle class, and according every character you can see the different ways of dealing with these frustrations. For other part, the travel of the Hoovers has a lot of funny moment, but has other moments with a lot of drama. I think that make it a good movie, because you can see a possible reality. Also the acting of the artists are amazing.

I did all the activities. I think I did well, because only I was wrong on two questions. One was on the listening. and the other on the Vocabulary. I think it was a great way to practice. certainly when I have time, I'm going to do this again in my house.

"BBC Learning English"

Hi, everyone!

Today I going to talk about a page to learn english. Specifically The BBC learning english page. I  Log on to the BBC page, and I went where says “Grammar, Vocabulary & Pronunciation”, on this part there are a “report” about the “the government’s cat fight”. You can read and listen the report, and after that you can see the vocabulary about the report.  Really is a funny report about the cat fight on the street, but gave me new words for my english vocabulary, For example i never heard the word "dozed" this mean "slept lightly", and also is new for me the word "feisty", this mean "energetic and troublesome".

After that I went where to the “pronunciation quiz”. There are ten questions to test you and help you learn about English. In the quiz, you must do the relation between the pictures and the written phonetic form. I think was very difficult, not because I don’t know about the pronunciation of the words on English, but because I don't know read when written in phonetic form. so I said to me  "it's better if I go to other part of the website".

There are something like a cartoon about "the Flatmates" and you can see the video to learn english. Also there are material, ideas, and worksheets, and even a game based on the cartoon.

“While my guitar gently weeps”

Hi!

I think I have a lot of favorites songs in English, but today I going to talk about a song that make me feel a lot of feeling. I really don’t remember when I hear the song for first time, but I suppose was when I was a little girl, because my dad is a big Beatles fan. This song was written by George Harrison at 1968, and was included in “white Album” of The Beatles. “While my guitar gently weeps” is considerate a rock ballad, but is not a love song. This song talks about the sad of the world and how the “love” is sleeping.  Also talk about how this world is changing for bad and especially how the people is changing and be corrupting by the global system. I think this song is very lucid, because the changes that happen now in this world is for benefic of a few. The system is slowly dominating and controlling people, and it seems that you can´t do anything against thats. And is what George Harrison wants to say, when he says “while my guitar gently weeps”. Because he only can't play guitar and show the sadness that he feels for this situations.

Also I like this song because the music, I think this music is beautiful, and strong. But of course, the massage is the most important for me.

My first day at College

Hi all!

This text is about my first day at college. was special because my brother Alonso and my friend Camilo  also came to college with me for the first time. Camilo arrived at my house earlier that day, to go together to our first day of college class. We went by “micro”, and when we arrived to the college, we went to the room class. Then we met a lot of new people, and a lot of them were nervous about their first day of college class. Then arrived the teacher, and he makes us scare because the class is very difficult.

Then when we left the class, most students went to the “pircas” in the courtyard of the university,  to have a good time and know each other better. That was very fun, I met many nice people. And now is great to think that many of those people now are great friends, and almost five years later we still get together every week to have fun at the pirkas.

National Holidays

Hello classmates!

Today I will talk about latest national holidays. This year national holidays was very especial, not only because were a lot of days, but also because I traveled to Tongoy. I traveled with my friend Gabriela, my little brother Gaspar, and his friend Mauricio. in Tongoy also were my grandparents, and my cousins Sebastian and Nicolas ​​with their girlfriends. Every day we went to the beach to take a nap after the big barbecue lunch. On that’s barbecues, I must did every day the “pebre”, because my granddad said that my “pebre” is the best.  at night some days we took a drink, but other days we went down to the village to try to enter any “fonda”. But it was very difficult because it was many tourists in town, and all the “fonda” was full. That made us decide to do our own Fonda at home, and we invite all our good friends to a very big barbecue. That was very fun, my cousin Sebastian invited a friend who is Disc jockey, and we danced all night!!

Hi!
Now I want to talk about a very good friend of mine. That text is also a gift, because today is her birthday. The person that I want to talk is my friend Pamela, she was my best friend in the school, and she steal is one of my best friends. She is so fanny and we think exactly the same in almost everything.
She lives near of me, we always go to the parties together, and we have same friend’s group. Sometime we go together to the park for ride our bicycles and talk. I admire her, because she is a very worker woman, she has a job, and she is student in the university too.
We have another friend together, her name is Paula. She also was our friend in the school-. And sometime, we have a party only the three, something like a pijama’s party but for ground up people, you know, with alcohol and others things hahahaha. On this time we always talk about men and our friends in common. We laugh a lot with the history of our friend.
